Asus brings 14-inch notebook with up to twelve hours battery
The UL80 uses a low-power Intel dual-core processor, 4 GB of DDR2 RAM and a large up to 500 GByte hard drive dell inspiron 11z battery. His screen dissolves with 1366 by 768 pixels. Depending on the equipment it costs 700-800 €.
Asus has expanded its notebook portfolio with the 14-inch model UL80 that is to get through an eight-cell battery with 5600 mA up to twelve hours without power. It is now available in three model variants in the colors black dell inspiron e1505 battery and silver.
The UL80 is driven by a 1.3 GHz Intel processor, the Core 2 Duo SU7300 range (800 MHz front side bus, 3 MB L2 cache). The CPU has 4 GB of DDR2-800 RAM and up to 500 GB of hard drive to the side. The 14-inch glare-type display with LED-backlit display has a native resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.
As an integrated graphics solution in the Intel GS45 chipset Graphics Media Accelarator 4500MHD is used. The model variant UL80V-WX022V also has a discrete Nvidia GeForce graphics type G210M dedicated with 512 MB of memory. Depending on requirements, users can switch between two graphics solutions thinkpad x60 battery.
Other facilities include 802.11b/g/n Gigabit Ethernet, WLAN after a 0.3-megapixel webcam, a Multitouchpad and a "Chiclets" keyboard with individually-cut keys. An optical drive is missing. For connecting peripherals with three USB ports, a 5-in-1 card reader as well as one VGA and HDMI port are available.
The UL80 measures 33 by 24 by 2.7 inches and weighs about 2 pounds. Asus delivers the 14-inch notebook with preinstalled Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit off). The guarantee period is two years, including pick-up.
The variant-UL80AG WX014V with Bluetooth sony np-fe1 battery and 320-gigabyte hard drive costs 699 €. The same price applies to the version UL80AG-WX008V with 500 GB of hard disk space. For the model UL80V-WX022V with 320-GB HDD, Bluetooth, and Nvidia graphics demands Asus 799 €.
